Blood Release (血遁, Chi, Viz: Blood Style) is a kekkei tōta solely wielded by the Ryuketsu Clan that requires the use of the Water, Iron Release and Yin-Yang elementals.
It is an innate ability first awakened in Riku Ōtsutsuki after the spirit of The Blood God took over his body having been defeated during the battle of The Great Divide. However, its ruling power eventually regained strength and poisoned his lineage with bloodlust. As of now, the Ryuketsu Clan is nearly extinct and its last user is Misaki Ryuketsu.

- Usage of the Blood Release is highly addictive (akin to sexual pleasure) and eventually leads to madness and bloodlust.
- The Blood Release can act as a dominant or recessive gene in its carriers.
- Due to the nature of this Release, even if it is an affinity ability, it is preferably not used intensively in combat to avoid mad blood; leading to most Ryuketsu individuals to prefer other abilities rather than their own bloodline.
- The Blood Release has a deadly affective component in it, in which the users' emotions can enhance its combative powers, or be its detrimental pulling factor.
