In that the lava does not completely assume the form of the user, but remains as lava the entire time, durable and being able to withstand many attacks until dispersing, even then it still deals some damage. Also due to being a Lava Release, the clone is slower than the user but if there is already lava on the field the clone can melt into it and reappear at any given time. Being made out of lava completely its melee damage can burn to the touch.
