Shi no Kakusareta-Mura, is the village hidden in death in the land of death which is a eerie landscape, it is ruled by a Shinokage , the current one is Kiyah Uzumaki, with the previous being her twin brother Ankh Uzumaki, the village looks small but has a large population than other villages despite its name many famous people who die don't end up here. The village is located in a harsh tundra type environment, the people wear long cloaks, face coverings, with hoods and bandages wrapped around their hands and legs, they are skilled worriers,and are skilled in Ninjustu, Genjustu, and Tajjustu, they also have unusual abilities such as phasing, and immortality making them great assassins and bodyguards.
Nobody knows when the village was founded,it did side with Tobi and Zestu during the fourth Ninja World War, lead by Ankh, before Kiyah killed him and became the new Shinokage, apparently the new Kage is determine by one on one combat, it is currently the leading military in out the five great ninja nations, it also has a strong economy thanks to the mining of rare crystals which are used in technology, and has a strong friendships with the other nations, the Village is currently at war with a rival smaller village in a unknown country neighboring the Land of Death the Ninja Alliance is trying to resolve the matter, but the Shin have already wiped out a portion of the enemy forces. The Village is a apart of the alliance, and makes mostly Military contributions during a Peacekeeping mission to a country experiencing unrest the Village sent full divisions numbering in the tens of thousands .
Under Shinokage Kiyah Uzumaki the village has made a number of technological advancements mostly in weapons, and industry, for example that blimp Naruto was flying around in was a war blimp used by the Shin and the villages police forces.
Not much else is known about the village, expect that Kiyah has to drink a herbal tea in order to gain the Shin's unique powers, very few outsiders every visit, most are chased off by Rogue Ninjas that room the countryside currently the government is fighting them, Boruto, his friends and his sister visited the village when his mother was kidnapped by a rogue unit of Shin Anbu's lead by a man named Zero Hitch, they were detain by the elite anbus know as the Death Guards, before Kiyah ordered their released.

The village is a true military power, they engaged the the living nations during the 4th war, and are now engaging against rogue ninjas, many were dumped by or escaped their former villages, in response under the direction of Naruto the Shin created specialized Anbus units formed to hunt down these Rogue ninjas, one unit defected and was lead by a assassin named Zero, he captured Borutos mother when they went to visit Kiyah, who planned on hosting the exams in her village. Kiyah refused help in dealing with the rogue ninjas who banded together due to Shin having very destructive chakra, during the proxy war between the Federation of Free Ninjas and the Land of the Death Boruto witness hundreds of rogue ninjas being killed by the unique genetic abilities of the Ninjas and Samurai of the Land of the Dead.
