Sword Release (剣リリース, Kensuton) is the created Techniques of the Legendary Samurai Mifune Tetsumi. Sword Release is a unique set of Jutsu created to the ways of the Sword. Sword Release can be used for both offensive and defensive attacks, the skill semi relies on the Chakra metal's used in the swords made for the Kensuton. The User places a certain amount of Chakra into the specially made blades to utilize Sword Release.
To use the skills of Kensuton, they must be passed on from Master to Student. If the master fails to teach the style it will forever die with that person. The only current Master of the Sword Release is it's inventor and only wielder, Mifune Tetsumi. The concept of the Sword Release is to use the Chakra metals and extend them out with brief inputs of Chakra in each attack.
Using different blades have different sets of Jutsu, being some for the Katana or Wakizashi. Mifune creating several "Sets" of Jutsu for his blades, being Katana, Wakizashi or even a large Zanbato. Those said to have faced the skills of Sword Release have rarely came out alive, stories being told by those who hear the screams of the deceased or any who managed to witness the effects of the Jutsu.

- Most of the Sword Release Techniques take from of either techniques about Wolves or Birds. Wolves being Mifune's theme slightly, and birds is something Mifune has always liked.
